The foremost requirement for admission is the eligibility. The second requirement is the score in the entrance exam, which is merit-based.

As of 2014, the entrance exam for B. Sc. Nutrition & Dietetics is conducted by Central Campus of Technology. The entrance exams for the rest of the bachelor programs are conducted by the Dean's Office, Tribhuvan University. In general, the examinees must secure at least 35% marks to be eligible for enrollment. The qualified students may apply for admission in the relevant Bachelor Programs in any colleges/campuses affiliated to Tribhuvan University. However, qualifying the entrance exam does not automatically ensure admission. Colleges/campuses may have their own criteria (additional) for the enrollment. For example, Central Campus of Technology calls for applications from the qualified aspiring students for final screening.

Application for enrollment

Enrollment must be completed within the stipulated date. Failure to take admission within the given time frame automatically makes the waiting candidate eligible for the admission. The decision is final, and in no case be considered on the part of the applicant that failed to abide by the stipulation.

As of 2014, for enrollment in B. Tech. (Food) Program, successful entrance examinees are required to go through another round of screening protocol. Aspirants who wish to study at CCT must apply for the additional screening test. The application form for the same can be collected from the campus office or downloaded from the official site of CCT ( The selection is based on entrance exam merit list. The campus publishes the list of successful candidates immediately after the application deadline. Please be very vigilant lest you should lose the opportunity. From this year (2014) the campus has also started online enrollment for those who cannot be physically present. The aspirant must bring with him/her all the documents/testimonials needed for the application. Be sure that you meet the eligibility criteria. Collect the application form from the campus /college office (Exams Section) and fill it up according to the guideline. Note that you need not be physically present for the application. Just make sure that you have the eligibility and all the required documents if you apply through someone else. The staff quota indicated above applies only for employees of CCT. In case there is no candidate for staff quota, the seat will be converted to 'free competition' seat.

Certificates and other materials needed during enrollment

  1. Character certificates of (i) high school, (ii) Plus 2, I.Sc. or equivalent. For Masters Programs, addition certificates of Bachelor Degree must also be furnished.
  2. Academic transcripts / Mark sheets
  3. Character certificates
  4. Migration certificates (if applicable)
  5. Passport size photos (recently taken)
  6. Citizenship


  • In special cases, such as intake of students in asylum, they must furnish recommendation letter from the relevant ministry of Nepal Government
  • The xerox copies of relevant documents must be attested by an official. You may request any officer in the administration office at CCT to do that for you 


The mode of payment for enrollment, tuition fee, etc., varies with the program chosen. Besides that, it is also subject to minor changes from time to time. You must go to the accounts section to get the latest update. In general, except for the admission fee, the rest can be paid on installment basis.

# As of 2014, B. Tech. admission fee is as follows:

# For B. Sc. Nutrition and Dietetics, the admission fee is as follows:

  3. Donation: NRs 1,12,945/-

# For B. Sc. Microbiology as well as B. Sc. Physics + Geology, the admission fee is as follows:

  2. Donation: NRs 9095/- + 15,000/- = 24,095/-
